Ryo Hamamoto is a widely acclaimed singer/songwriter/guitarist known in the Japanese indie alternative rock scene through remarkable songs, brilliant performances, including his participation as a lead guitar player in Analogfish and moools. “Any Ways” is a song written on short notice, separate from an album production that was underway in 2025. Drums were played by Masaru Hateruma, lead guitar by Tatsuki Yamamoto from YOMOYA, and all other instruments and recording were performed by Ryo Hamamoto. Mixing and mastering were handled by Makito Watabe, also known as padok. An alternative shoegaze folk-rock piece that depicts the journey up a long hill sometime in the past, leading to a Sunday to go meet the wildcat at the zoo, with quiet passion and a grand soundscape. A peculiar yet universal alternative folk-rock that evokes the listener’s present and past.
